Special Education Services

Special education at Trout Creek School is built on a "shared responsibility" model, where the district works closely with families and the community to meet the unique learning styles of every child.

The program provides individualized support and specialized instruction to ensure students with disabilities can thrive in a safe and nurturing environment.

 

Special Education Team

Our dedicated team includes several specialists who provide essential services to our students:

  • Special Education Teacher: Ms. Vanessa Pallister

  • Occupational Therapist: Mary Russell

  • Speech Pathologist: Jordey Sorenson

  • School Psychologist: Pam Gannon

 

Available Services & Programs

  • Comprehensive Support: We provide instructional support through paraprofessionals who assist with small-group and one-on-one activities.

  • Individualized Education Programs (IEP): These plans are tailored to each student’s specific needs, incorporating specialized academic instruction and accommodations.

  • Early Childhood Screening: The school offers developmental and hearing screenings to help identify children who may need early intervention or special education services.

  • Collaborative Partnership: Trout Creek School is a member of the Cabinet Mountain Cooperative, which helps provide specialized related services across Sanders County.
